1. Provider and scope

These terms describe the use of Farnow and the additional terms for the features we provide. Apple's standard licence applies to the app software. Apple's applicable terms also govern purchases, payments and the Apple Account. Mandatory consumer rights always take precedence.

2. What Farnow provides
Farnow helps you plan goals, 90-day challenges and weekly actions. Basic personal manual planning is free. Additional personal insights through Pro and shared planning through Family are separate paid features when offered in your app version and region. What you are buying, the period and the price are shown in Apple's purchase screen before you buy.
Farnow supports your own choices. Achieving a goal depends on your own actions and circumstances; the app does not promise a specific outcome. Farnow is not a medical, legal or financial advice service. AI assistance is not active in this version.
The current app requires an iPhone with iOS 18 or later. iCloud sharing and App Store purchases require the relevant Apple services and a suitable internet connection. We will give advance notice of any future compatibility changes where required.
3. Your content and responsible use
You retain the rights to the content you enter. You grant us only the right of use necessary to store and display that content according to your choices and, if you choose, share it with invited participants through iCloud. You decide what content to share and are responsible for ensuring that you may lawfully use that content and other people's data.
Use Farnow lawfully and respect the privacy and rights of others. Do not try to bypass security, access rights or paid features. Do not use the app as a record for medical data or other special categories of personal data.
In this version, family planning is intended for adults aged 18 or over, each with their own iCloud account. For personal use or purchases by minors, permission from a parent or legal guardian is required where the law requires it.
4. Family planning and access
Farnow Family uses Apple Family Sharing to share the subscription and a separate iCloud invitation to share the planning. Under Apple's terms, one eligible subscription can be shared within the same Apple family group of up to six people, including the organiser. Invited members with valid shared subscription access do not need to buy a separate Family subscription.
All authorised participants can view the shared content. Editing requires both the appropriate iCloud permissions and valid Family subscription access. A subscription does not automatically grant access to someone's planning space, and an invitation does not automatically grant subscription access. Family does not automatically include personal Pro features.
The owner manages invitations and can revoke access, stop sharing or delete the family space. A member can leave. The shared content remains with the owner after a member leaves; deletion by the owner deletes the shared planning for everyone. Ownership cannot be transferred in this version. These actions do not change your personal planning or Apple subscription.
5. Subscriptions, payment and cancellation
The configured Dutch prices for Farnow Family are €3.99 per month or €29.99 per year, including applicable taxes. An annual subscription is paid in advance for the entire year. Prices and availability may vary by country; Apple's purchase screen shows the offer that applies to you.
A subscription renews automatically for the stated period until you cancel renewal. Apple collects payment through your Apple Account. You can manage renewal through Settings → your name → Subscriptions, or https://apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions. Cancel in good time before the renewal date shown and follow any earlier deadline in the purchase information. Apple shows the renewal or end date; after you stop renewal, paid access usually remains available until the end date shown.
Automatic renewal does not exclude statutory rights to cancel during a subscription term. For Dutch consumers, a notice period of no more than one month generally applies after automatic renewal. If you cannot exercise an applicable statutory right through Apple's settings, email us so we can handle it.
When Family subscription access ends, the shared planning can no longer be edited. Previously shared content may remain readable for as long as iCloud access exists. An ended subscription does not delete planning. Deleting the app, leaving a family or deleting a family space does not cancel the subscription.
Future prices may be adjusted because of demonstrable changes in delivery costs, statutory charges or the scope of the product offered. An increase does not apply retroactively. For an ongoing subscription, we follow Apple's notification procedure and seek consent where required. You can cancel renewal before the change takes effect; your statutory rights remain in place.
6. Cooling-off periods, refunds and complaints
As a consumer in the European Union, you generally have a 14-day cooling-off period for a distance purchase. For the Dutch App Store, Apple describes a period of 14 days after you receive your receipt. Whether a statutory exception for digital content or services applies depends on the purchase, the information provided and the required express consent; merely using Farnow does not constitute a general waiver of rights. Your rights where the service does not conform to the contract also remain in place.
To request a refund for an Apple purchase, you can use https://reportaproblem.apple.com. For withdrawal, Apple describes the route Apple Account → Purchase History → order → Cancel Transaction. The Apple terms linked above also contain the model withdrawal form. If you cannot exercise your right through Apple, or if you have a complaint about Farnow, contact farnow@merlingmeijer.com. We will help direct your request to the appropriate party and handle the obligations for which we are responsible.
7. Availability, data and recovery
We maintain Farnow with care and provide the updates necessary to comply with the contract and our legal obligations. Outages may occur in the app, the internet connection or Apple services. Family planning updates when you open or refresh the app; this version does not provide background push notifications or automatic transmission of offline changes.
Your personal planning is stored locally. Create a personal export through the app if you want to keep a copy yourself. An export does not contain family planning and is not encrypted by Farnow. When restoring, check that you want to replace your current personal planning. You manage copies and device backups yourself; this does not limit our legal obligations.
If you encounter a problem, please contact us so we can investigate a remedy. You retain your statutory rights to performance, repair, price reduction, termination or compensation where applicable.

8. Changes and applicable law
We may change the app and these terms where necessary for security, legislation or a specific change to the product. We will inform you in good time about material changes, explaining their effects and any choices available to you. We will ask for consent to changes where the law requires it. Existing paid rights will not be reduced without a valid basis.
Dutch law applies. If you live in another country as a consumer, you also retain the protection of the mandatory rules that apply to you there. You can bring a dispute before the court that has jurisdiction under the applicable law.
