Frequently asked questions

Do I need to start DriveNudge before every trip?

No. With the required permissions enabled, DriveNudge can detect when you are likely driving or cycling and activate protection automatically.

Why does DriveNudge need location and motion access?

DriveNudge uses speed and motion signals to recognise a journey and activate your chosen protection. This processing supports automatic detection; DriveNudge does not store a route history.

Can a passenger access blocked apps?

Passenger access requires a deliberate pause-and-hold action. This keeps the interruption intentional while still allowing access when you are not the driver.

Does DriveNudge collect my data?

DriveNudge is private by design. It does not require an account and does not use ads or analytics. Your settings, safety statistics, and route-related information stay on your iPhone.

How do I reset DriveNudge permissions?

Open iPhone Settings, find DriveNudge, and review Location, Motion & Fitness, Background App Refresh, and Screen Time access. After changing permissions, reopen DriveNudge.
